SO, Iv'e been here a month, and they've sort of run out of things for me to do. so I edit spreadsheets, draw things up by hand and do the basic maths that no one remembers how to do. I've done a ton more doodles, more useless email than ever, and even a Journal or two.
The weekends have been more than interesting enough to make up for office life. Bushcraft survival course, wild swimming and festival after festival, Bristol is awesome! I also got on a bike for the first time, and booked my CBT test for Sunday
Planning on a trip to Norway, a weeks husky sledding, snow, and maybe the arora. Any better? I think not. Will have to work for the money though, three months, 20 hours... That's not including the need for rent, expenses and other university needs... Looking through Travel insurance, it's surprising what isnt included
War risks, civil commotion, terrorism, (except in the instance of emergency medical expenses and personal accident unless caused by nuclear chemical or biological attack), Sonic disturbance radioactive contamination. Useless if I want to go to Chynobl then. But sporadic rioting or war you have to pay for yourself.
Ebooks and trashy internet TV take up a fair amount of my time, with my lovely new tablet Jenny making it so easy. But I've missed reading so much, not much artwork going on at the minute with connection problems with my graphics tablet and very little space for working in my little room at the centre of Bristol.
Oh, and iTunes is being a bitch. I cant sign in because I've forgotten the password, the email no longer works, so I have to download all my bought music from somewhere ese to listen to it. Apple you bastards. Anyone know a decent alternative to this for general music management?
Gah. Anywho, Plymouth soon! Who!
New EVERYHTHANG!!
SituationWelp. New city, new job. new problems... OHMYGODIMMELTINGITSSOHOT! :faint: For a few shoort weeks, for those of us in England of the fair skin, the country becomes unbearable. I hate the heat. :onfire:
Bristol is a freaking Amazing city. So fun, there's always stuff going on, this morning there was a guy painting on a wall outside a cafe, bold as you like. Art everywhere. Even the dirt on the old Police Station has exploded into a flock of birds...
Yet here sit I, stuffy office, poring over maps and spreadsheets. It does get me out of the Parent's house, into a new city, doing something... er, something. Proper student flat an
WHOO!! Exams and stuff... COMPETITION!!
So its silly o'clock here in blighty (England to those unfamiliar) and its Exam time!! Which means I have eaten my own weight in Chocolate, used up more pens and pads of paper than I care to mention, cleaned my bathroom (now sticking my head out of the window to allow my lungs to recover, there is apparently ventilation but I haven't found it yet) and watched obscene amounts of Mythbusters re-runs.
But the real reason for this most recent assault of novality on the internet is to advertise a free competition by :icon*whitepup: for a free pixel icon!! Go here if you want a shot --> :http://whitepup.deviantart.com/art/win-a-free-pixel-icon-373
Long time no see, and Help?
Well, the workload had depleted, and Youtube rules once again. Cat videos, people doing weird things with iPads and enormous jumps of really high stuff...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PfFKlWlE48&list=WL2B93F57C282BAD42 is something I found, I don't care if it's real, but oh do I love that Ninja, I'm going to call him Kylar.
And how the Hell do I save an image in Photoshop to have a transparent background!? Logic says it shouldn't be difficult, I have the background layer set to 0% opacity, tried Bitmap, JPEG and GIF files with all the trimmings.. No luck.
Someone tell me I'm being stupid.
Consistancy I am not...
Why now just when I have decided that I need to get reports and coursework done does everything either decide to break or tantalise me with new and shiny things? Ok, the last part is entirely my fault.
So I have a wireless adapter for my graphics tablet (which was not entirely warranted) new cables for everything, which are needed, except the one thing I really needed to replace... Yeup, just like me. Forked out for CS6, having problems downloading that, lost the ability to email with my phone, so yay, also spring is here. I dont like spring, It precedes summer, which I hate. I was terribly disappointed of this year's winter, only once did i
